Grain bowls and salads have proven popular enough for Forage Kitchen to open a sixth Madison-area location, this time at 1896 E. Washington Ave.
Construction on the new 2,500-square-foot restaurant is scheduled to begin in September. The aim is to open in early 2027.
The new location will serve grain bowls, salads and wraps made with locally sourced ingredients.
“Forage Kitchen got its start in 2015, not too far from here, on State Street, and we’re proud to keep growing roots in this city with our sixth Madison-area location,” Forage Kitchen founder Henry Aschauer said in a statement. “The Eastern puts us in the middle of one of the city’s most walkable, bikeable and fastest-growing neighborhoods. We can’t wait to bring fresh, scratch-made food to our neighbors there.”
The Eastern is an apartment complex the eatery will anchor.
