As temperatures rise across the nation, job additions have cooled down.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, hiring has slowed.

Nonfarm employment added 57,000 jobs in June. That was well short of the expectation that 115,000 jobs would be added that month.

Employment did trend upward in professional and business services, social assistance and health care. The leisure and hospitality industry lost jobs.
