Feed the Need Tasting Event

In honor of serving the community for 10 years, The River Food Pantry hosted its first tasting event on Sunday, June 5 at The East Side Club. Guests enjoyed local flavors from 18 Madison Originals’ restaurants and members, beer from Ale Asylum, raffles and games, and live music from The Soggy Prairie Boys and Oak Street Ramblers. The event was emceed by NBC15’s Charlie Shortino and special guest, Wisconsin Foodie host, Kyle Cherek. Proceeds from the event are going toward purchasing nutritious food for The River Food Pantry and The River’s new mobile lunch program, which feeds children and teens living in low income neighborhoods on the north side on weekends and non-school days.
