The Evers administration Wednesday announced awards of nearly $70 million to support 39 rural road projects as part of the state’s Agricultural Roads Improvement Program.
The awards, which total $69.5 million, are part of a $150 million investment in state road improvements that is part of the 2025-27 biennial budget.
Funding will support road, bridge and culvert projects across 32 Wisconsin counties.
Improvements are planned for infrastructure that serves agricultural- and forestry-related transportation. More than 30 million tons of agricultural products, valued at $14.8 billion, are transported on ARIP-awarded roads each year.
The latest funding brings the total number of projects funded by ARIP to 161 across 60 of Wisconsin’s 72 counties.
