During his weekly radio address Thursday, Gov. Tony Evers announced two new grant programs to help Wisconsin communities contain PFAS contamination.

The programs are funded by the $125 million PFAS Trust Fund, which was approved in the 2023-25 biennial budget.

The grant programs are the PFAS Community Grants Sampling Program, which provides eligible municipalities with funding to sample for PFAS in private wells and public water supplies and the Wisconsin PFAS Private Well Testing Program, which allows the owners and users of private wells to sample their private well for PFAS if they do not live in a municipality that is pursuing a community grant.
