Citing insurmountable hangover effects from the COVID-19 pandemic, especially higher inflation and ingredient costs, Delta Beer Lab announced it will close this Sunday, according to social media statements from the brewery.
The 7,774-square-foot brewery, located at 167 E. Badger Road in Fitchburg, will remain open for limited hours next week to sell its remaining inventory.
It has operated at its site in the Novation Campus for nearly eight years.
“Unfortunately, the economic impacts following the pandemic have proven insurmountable,” the company said in a statement. “We have been hit hard by rising ingredient, supply and freight costs, and despite fighting as hard as we could, we have simply run out of resources to sustain operations.”
