It has been nearly three decades since Madison has had a Cuban restaurant, but it will make a return thanks to Eugenio Martinez’s Cubarican’s Cocina food trailer getting a brick-and-mortar location on the east side of Madison.
Owner Martinez is aiming to have the location at 4656 Cottage Grove Road open in about a month, the Wisconsin State Journal reported.
The Cuban food trailer has been open since April. The restaurant will have many similar menu items, such as carne or chicken guisada, slow-cooked beef or chicken in a tomato sauce, plantain fries and more.
