Crystal Ridge Ski Area, a Milwaukee-area winter sports park, has been ordered to pay $20,000 for firing an employee for posting Bible verses on social media, according to a report in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

The payment is part of a settlement in a federal discrimination lawsuit filed in 2025 by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Crystal Ridge, located in the Milwaukee suburb of Franklin, denied the allegations but settled to avoid the costs of additional litigation.

The settlement requires the park to provide anti-discrimination training to employees and update its policies.
