Madison Police said Thursday a person of interest has been identified after a construction worker was killed in a hit-and-run crash Thursday afternoon, according to a report in the Wisconsin State Journal.
According to police, a vehicle struck a person doing road work at about 1:10 p.m. in front of Sennett Middle School, near the intersection of Pflaum and Alder roads on Madison’s east side, and the driver left the scene.
Police said they are in contact with the person of interest as they continue their investigation.
