Common Good Philanthropies announced Monday that it will award a total of $157,800 in immediate impact grants to eight nonprofits and state agencies that serve older adults and people of different abilities.
“Each of these eight projects brings a fresh perspective to the challenges and opportunities facing older adults and people of all abilities across Wisconsin,” Candise Miller, executive director of Common Good Philanthropies, said in a press release.
“We’re especially excited that this grant cycle introduces us to organizations we haven’t had the opportunity to fund before.”
Award recipients include: the Asset-Based Community Development Institute; Cycling Without Age; Haase Community Connections Inc.; Meals on Wheels of Sheboygan County Inc.; Midstate Independent Living Choices Inc.; Opportunity of North Central Wisconsin Inc.; Rural Wisconsin Inc.; and Staying Put Inc.
