Gov. Tony Evers Thursday announced the appointment of Delani Dow to the University of Wisconsin Board of Regents.

Dow, who will serve a two-year term, will fill the nontraditional student regent position and the vacancy created by the expiration of Desmond Adongo’s term on May 1.

Dow, a native of Eugene, Oregon, is an elementary education major with an interest in special education at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.

She also works as a home health aide for BrightStar Care and Accra Homecare.

“As a community member and student, I am thrilled to bring my unique educational and life experience to the UW Board of Regents,” Dow said in a press release. “I am honored to serve my community as an advocate for everyone in the UW System.”
