Waunakee’s Octopi Brewing is currently undertaking an expansion project to increase its production capacity, WKOW reports. The project will allow the brewing company to produce the beer of its Japanese parent company, Asahi Group, in sufficient quantities to see major advances in the U.S. market.
Asahi purchased Octopi last year and earlier this month announced it would invest $35 million to expand its brewing capacity. The news comes as much of the craft brewing industry industry growth of a decade ago has cooled, and companies elsewhere are making more modest moves.
Octopi had previously transitioned from focusing on its own beer to becoming a contract brewer for other brands.
