The Milwaukee Brewers now know who they will be facing in the 2026 World Series, and the opponent includes some familiar faces.
The Brewers will face the Tampa Bay Rays, who defeated the Cleveland Guardians 4 games to 2 in the American League Championship Series.
Tampa Bay pitcher Freddy Peralta, a former Brewer, was named Most Valuable Player of the ALCS.
Tampa Bay pitcher Drew Rasmussen is also a former Brewer. Milwaukee traded Rasmussen to the Rays in 2021 in the deal that brought shortstop Willy Adames to Milwaukee.
Game 1 of the best-of-seven World Series is set for Friday night at American Family Field in Milwaukee.
The Brewers will host the first two games of the World Series before the series moves to Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg,
Florida, where the Rays play their home games, for Games 3, 4 and (if necessary) 5.
If needed, Games 6 and 7 would be played in Milwaukee.
