American Transmission Co has refiled its power line proposal for a power line project to serve the $15 billion artificial intelligence data center in Port Washington, according to a report in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
The filing is in response to an Aug. 6 directive from the Wisconsin’s Public Service Commission for ATC to resubmit its application for a 100-mile power line project.
The company is working to bring electricity to the data center campus, which is one of the largest proposed for Wisconsin.
In August, WPC commissioners cited more than 560 changes to ATC’s original proposal as the reasons it ordered the company to resubmit its application.
The revisions, which include a newly proposed facility that regulates voltage, increased the cost of the project from $1.6 billion to $2.7 billion.
