Wisconsin residents have donated 27 tons of supplies to “United for Venezuela,” the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.

The relief effort was launched by Milwaukee Brewers catcher William Contreras and outfielder Jackson Chourio.

The goods have been sent to Miami where Global Empowerment Mission will ship them to communities hit by the June earthquakes.

Venezuelans will receive bottled water, non-perishable food and more.
