Madison’s Sub-Zero is proposing a nearly 800,000-square-foot warehouse in the Verona Technology Park on the city’s southeast side, according to a report in the Wisconsin State Journal.

The company, which manufactures luxury residential and commercial kitchen appliances, would use the massive facility to distribute materials to Sub-Zero’s manufacturing facilities in Fitchburg and Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Verona Technology Park, already home to a Costco, is located near the intersection of County Highways M and PB and U.S. Highway 18/151.

The warehouse, which would be located about 3 miles south of the Fitchburg facility, would employ about 140 people and have about 70 truck trips daily — most of them between 4 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Sub-Zero is headquartered in Madison and in addition to its manufacturing plant in Fitchburg, it has a manufacturing facility in Arizona and regional warehouses in Florida and California.
